Important Instructions for Using this DVD

1. To view ACIP data in Tibetan script in your web browser, you will need to install the font Tibetan Machine Web, which is included on this disk.
2. IMPORTANT - Windows Users: If you wish to copy the entire disk onto your hard drive, you need to copy it to the TOP level directory (e.g. C:\) and NOT in a subdirectory (e.g. C:\Documents and Settings\Users\Me\ACIP6\). The files will not copy or open properly if you copy them anywhere else. This is because of the long path and file names on the disk. (This is not a problem in Mac OS X.)
3. We highly recommend that you copy the complete DVD contents onto your hard drive, rather than just a portion. Many of the different parts rely on one another, so a partial copy may not work properly on your machine.
4. The Tibetan web pages will only display correctly in Internet Explorer (Windows) or Safari (Mac OS)
5. To read PDF files on this disk, you will need Adobe Reader (or some other PDF reader). We have included installers for Windows versions of Adobe Reader in the “07_Using_Tibetan_Fonts” directory.
